5 Reasons I Love My New Arena Cobra Ultra Goggles

Here’s my review of the Arena Cobra Ultra goggles.

The most important thing about these goggles for me is the way that snow doesn’t collect on them, the visibility, and the fact that they don’t fog up with a gentle breeze.

From the moment that you put them on, they really do feel comfortable, and you don’t struggle to get a seal with your eyes. All of the ridges and angles on them seem to fit perfectly with the contours of your eyes, making them a really good pair of goggles.

The main reason that I picked them up was because of the so called “haloeffect” design. This makes them keep the snow off of them. This is probably the main feature that I’ve been looking for with goggles and for me personally this is the best pair that I’ve tried to date.

They are super low profile.

I’m really not a fan of bulky goggles, and the Arena Cobra Ultra goggles definitely don’t fit that bill. These goggles have a thinner profile than some of the other goggles I’ve worn in the past and are especially great for those that are transitioning from wearing contacts and prescription glasses while skating.

I don’t wear goggles often as I’m not a huge fan, but that is changing with the introduction of progressive lenses. I’m able to wear these goggles without pinching my eyelashes and they don’t slip around on my face very much, making them perfect for skating outside. I’d definitely recommend these for someone that is just starting out on the path to RPGoogles.

The straps aren’t like your usual goggles.

They are really long to fit over helmets.

The strap is also an adjustable elastic cord that is still soft, but very secure. It’s like the wackiest adjustable belt ever, never dipping too far into the back of your helmet when tightened. The goggles also stay put due to the anatomic shape of the nose piece.

The straps are made of silicone .

The peripheral vision is friggin awesome.

Strong peripheral vision is super important to me because I don't have the best eyesight. Without my old goggles I almost crashed once because I couldn't see well enough behind me. Comfort is important too. I fell in love with them the first day. Everybody's face is different, but I really liked that these goggle was very light on my face. I hate when my nose feels suffocated and has trouble breathing. When I put these on I could breathe! Feel free to call me a dork, but I love that they have a very feminine style– the white ones are called Crystal Ice. I feel pretty cool and tough like a super hero when I wear them!

It makes the price seem like nothing. I bought these goggles two years ago, and because of how well they held up, I just bought another pair in the new Lycra 510 material. These goggles come with a protective case and a cloth to clean them. One of the things I never thought I'd care about but I do is that the protective case is cool because you can put your credit card and phone in it and zip it shut! Genius! The only downside is that I wish they were made in the U.S.A. But I still love the Arena brand and will continue to support them as long as they keep making awesome products.

Brightness is really good as well.

Love the really bright orange lenses. I am a slight far-sighted and can see much better wearing these goggles than regular shades. They fit very well over my glasses, and I don’t need to wear my contacts to wear these!

Even though I have a giant head, they still fit great! They have a huge range and I did not need to adjust the strap. “Ok, they might be a little tight.”

While wearing my Arena goggles, I noticed that they kept fogging up. Needless to say, I didn’t enjoy riding on a sunny day with foggy goggles:

The Arena Cobra Ultra goggles have a superior ventilation system. They keep fogging and sweating to a minimum. They provide excellent airflow.

They Are Super Versatile

Arena recommends wearing their goggles using the straps that are attached to your helmet when you are BMX racing. What I like about this is that you can adjust it to fit certain helmets that don’t have the straps. The goggles were very comfy, and I forgot that they were even on. These goggles do not have a lens with a break-away feature. So we would recommend using them for BMX racing only.

Summing Up the Arena Cobra Ultra Goggles

I’m no expert in the field of skiing and snowboarding, but I do know that a good pair of goggles can make a huge difference. While it’s hard to find reliable advice about goggles online, I was very excited to try out my new Arena Cobra Ultra Goggles in Red/Tortoise.

One of the first differences I noticed was the helmet compatibility. The Arena Cobra Goggles are helmet compatible, but unlike others, they don’t fog up from wind or air flow. They come with a clip system so that the goggles are stay firmly over the eyes.

I also loved that they fit comfortably over the helmet. The wind protection is outstanding, with ample air flow but no air leaks. There are vents on the sides and top that really allow your face to breathe without compromising the protection. The frame is flexible and sturdy enough that you could easily bend them repeatedly and they would pop right back to their original shape.

I had the pleasure of using the Arena Cobra Ultra Goggles skiing in warm weather. They were perfect for the conditions, allowing moisture to easily evaporate and warm air to be released. I could ski all day without having to worry about my eyes drying out or snow and ice melting into my eyes. The side shields were great for reducing glare and sun reflection.

The Arena Cobra Ultra Mirrored Goggles:

This week, I’m featuring a new pair of goggles, the Arena Cobra Ultra mirrored goggles.

The first thing I noticed about these goggles is how stylish they are. I absolutely love the contrast colors of black and green. The goggle frame itself is not bulky, which I much prefer over other more bulky models I’ve tried in the past. Although they are a little bit heavier than the other models I’ve tried, I didn’t find myself having difficulty adjusting to the weight while on a swim.

These goggles scored points with me because of their mirrored lens. I previously had the Arena Cobra 3 lens and really liked the clarity of the lens. These ultra-mirrored lens are not quite as clear as the Cobra 3 lens, but they still have a significantly high level of clarity. For me, the rosier color of the lens makes it easier to see in the pool and out. It’s a subtle change from my previous lenses, but I’m liking it.

Overall, I’m really liking these goggles so far. I’m hoping they continue to stand the test of time, but so far, I’ve found them to be a great fit that I’ve enjoyed using.

Arena Cobra Ultra Goggles

As a recent convert to the almost cult like Arena brand, I have found that they have some pretty unique goggles that suit the strange shaped and sized face that I have. They have ingeniously addressed a number of issues that were plaguing all previous manufacturers of goggles and they really do live up to the hype.
